Empathy Is Tough

“Empathy and tough decisions are not in conflict with each other. Love leadership doesn’t mean ignoring challenges, or avoiding bad news. If you’re truly empathetic as a leader, you’ll know that being honest is the most empathetic thing you can do. For example, allowing someone on your team to continually underperform isn’t actually empathetic.
